At your Facility

Objective:
To increase operator's knowledge, skill and proficiency level through
classroom and hands-on training.
Time:
A three-day program
(a maximum of 10 participants) consisting of classroom instruction
and a hands-on session, requiring each operator to conduct a series
of lifts.

* Boom Truck Set-Up
* Load Chart Interpretation
* Operator Responsibilities
* Rigging Practices
* Operating Practices
* Communication
* Operating Near Power Lines
* OSHA/ASME Standards
Skill Measurements:
Qualificaiton is
available. Written exams will be administered and operating performance
will be evaluated. Those operators who succussfully pass the program
will receive qualification that is valid for 3 years.
Location & Equipment:
The course is conducted at a client-provided classroom
facility (complete with a computer projector, screen, and chalk
or marker board), with access to all available rigging gear and
at least one boom truck. Dynamometers are used to
verify load weight estimations.
Materials:
Each participant
will receive a Mobile Craning Today Manual, Course Workbook, and
Reference Card.
